Greetings from Talladega High's New Principal

Greetings:

I would like to thank the staff of Talladega High School and the Talladega Board of Education and their staff for the opportunity to serve the students of Talladega High School. Our endeavor at Talladega High School will be to provide a “world class” education for our students. We will do this by fully examining our current strengths, our recent accomplishments, and our opportunities for improvement. Talladega High School will set goals based on our findings and community expectations. This approach supports our vision at Talladega City Schools, “Moving forward to meet the demands of a changing world.” My prayer is that all members of the community join with us as we work to develop and maintain a “world class” education for the students of Talladega, Alabama.

Sincerely,

Darren Anglin

Helping Children Cope With Tragedy

Young children shouldn’t have to learn about tragic events, but they do. Some are exposed to disasters firsthand. Others discover tragedies by watching the news or overhearing others. This Report to Parents from the National Association of Elementary School Principals provides some guidance on helping children through these situations.
