AYP and Attendance after LABOR DAY

Want to help your child's school make or maintain their AYP status?

For all elementary and junior high schools, attendance plays a key part in schools making Adequate Yearly Progress. Each student's attendance for the first 20 days after Labor Day is reported and used to calculate if the school has at least a 95% attendance rate.

It is crucial to our schools' efforts to make Adequate Yearly Progress that your child be present during this period.

Having your child in school during this period is just one way parents can help. Of course, we advise that your child attend every day!
